He Gave You the Power to Get Wealth. Here Is How to Use It.

The Word at the Table

I'm Neal Reyes, The Entrepreneurs' Pastor, and I'm glad you're at the table. This week I have one word for you, and it is coming straight out of Champion's Walk. It is Part 4 of our series Redeemed: Taking Back What Was Lost, and the subject is your finances. I want to warn you right up front. This teaching is going to challenge some things you have heard. Stay open. Stay with me. And let the Word of God do what only it can do.

This Week's Word

The Opening: He Gave You the Power to Generate Wealth. Here Is How to Use It.

One of my mentors is Brendon Burchard, one of the top coaches in the world. He is a believer and someone I have a tremendous amount of respect for. And he has an analogy about personal development that I want to use to open everything we are going to cover today.

He says that personal development is like a power plant.

And the thing about a power plant is this. A power plant does not have power. A power plant generates power. That distinction matters more than it might seem at first, because it changes the question entirely. The question is not, do you have what it takes? The question is, are you generating it?

Now hold that thought. Because it connects directly to what I want to show you in God's Word today.

Deuteronomy 8:18 NKJV says this. And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

He gives you power to get wealth.

Now, the Hebrew word translated as power here is koach. And koach translates as strength, ability, and anointing. So when you put that back into the verse, it reads: He gives you strength, ability, and anointing to get wealth.

Not to receive it passively. To get it. To generate it. To produce it. Just like the power plant.

When it comes to financial restoration, sometimes God's plan is not to do it for you. It is to do it through you.

The Blessing Is Not the Money. It Is What Produces It.

I want to take you to Proverbs 10:22 NKJV now, because this scripture is going to shift the way you define the word blessing.

The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.

Most believers hear that and immediately point to the financial increase. The raise. The unexpected check. The deal that came through. They call the money the blessing.

But the money is not the blessing. The blessing is the anointing that produces it.

When God blesses you, He is not handing you a dollar amount. He is anointing your abilities, your ideas, and your skills. He is placing His favor on what your hands produce. And when His anointing is on you, the output becomes exceedingly and abundantly above what you could have achieved on your own.

And he adds no sorrow with it. That phrase has two important meanings.

The first is for the person who has been blessed with abundance but has been living beneath it out of fear of being judged. If God gave it to you, there is no sorrow in it. You do not need to shrink or be ashamed of what He has done in your life. Enjoy it. Steward it. And use it for His purposes.

The second meaning is about how wealth is obtained. Kingdom wealth carries no sorrow because it was acquired the right way. Worldly wealth, gained through compromise or corruption, comes with weight attached. The blessing of the Lord is clean. It builds. It lasts. And it carries no regret.

Ephesians 3:20 NKJV confirms it. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

Notice it says according to the power that works in us. Not around us. Not for us. In us. The Greek word for power here is dunamis, which means inherent power, miraculous strength, and ability. It is the same concept as the koach from Deuteronomy 8:18, expressed now in the New Testament. The same strength, ability, and anointing that God placed inside of you from the beginning. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above anything you can imagine, according to the power He already put within you.

Faith Anchor #2: The blessing of God is not the money. It is His anointing on your abilities, your ideas, and your skills. When that anointing is operating, the output exceeds the effort.

The Wilderness Is Not the End. It Is a Transition.

Now I want to speak to someone who is in what feels like a dry season. Things may not look the way they used to look. The margin may have tightened. The abundance you once moved in may feel like it has quietly slipped away. And you are wondering if you have been forgotten.

You have not been forgotten.

Philippians 4:19 NKJV says, and my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. All your need. Not some. All.

And when we look at how God provided for the Hebrews in the wilderness, it gives us one of the most powerful pictures of what His faithfulness looks like in a transition season. He did not abandon them in the wilderness. He provided manna every single day so they would not go hungry. He caused their clothing and their shoes to not wear out. He sustained them completely through the entire journey.

That was not a lifetime arrangement. It was provision for a season of transition, on the way from where they had been to where He was taking them. And there is a difference between being in the wilderness and being in lack. The wilderness is a transition. Lack is a conclusion. And if God is leading you, the wilderness never concludes in lack. It concludes in the promised land.

Psalms 23:1 NKJV says, the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. Even in the lean seasons. Even in the valley. Even when things look smaller than they used to look. Under His shepherding, there is no lack.

And John 10:10 NKJV reminds us who is behind what we are experiencing. The thief does not come except to steal and to kill and to destroy. But Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly. If something is trying to steal, kill, or destroy, that is not God. But if God is leading you through it, He is doing so to take you somewhere greater on the other side.

Faith Anchor #3: God does not leave you in the wilderness. He leads you through it. The transition is not the destination.

The Open Window and the Tithe

We have already established that when it comes to restoring your finances, God wants to do it through you. We have seen that He has given you the power to get wealth, and we have unpacked what that power means. In the Old Testament, it is koach, the strength, ability, and anointing God placed inside of you. In the New Testament, it is dunamis, that same inherent power and miraculous ability now expressed through Christ working in you. So the power is established. It is already there. But now I want to show you how that power is activated and how it operates at its highest level as it relates to restoring your finances. The answer is through partnership. God wants to partner with you in the restoration of your finances. And the way that partnership is established and honored is through the covenant of the tithe.

I want to close today's teaching with Malachi 3:10 NKJV, because this is where the partnership with God becomes concrete and tangible.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house. And try Me now in this, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.

The Lord of hosts, Jehovah Sabaoth. That name translates as the commander of angel armies. When God speaks this promise, He is speaking it from a position of authority over all of heaven's resources. And He is saying, try Me. Test Me on this. Bring what belongs to Me, and watch what I pour back out.

Tithing is not a transaction. It is a partnership between you and God. It is you saying, Lord, I trust you with what I have, and I trust you to operate on my behalf. And He is saying back to you, I will open the windows of heaven and pour out what there is not room enough to receive.

He has given you the power to generate wealth. His blessing is on your abilities. And when you partner with Him through obedience, He opens what no man can close.

You are not waiting on God to show up. He has already given you everything you need. Now it is time to activate it.

Take This With You

This week I want you to do one thing for the faith side and one for the practical side.

On the faith side, read Deuteronomy 8:18 slowly and out loud every morning this week. Speak it as a declaration over your life. He has given me the strength, the ability, and the anointing to generate wealth. Let that truth begin to replace any passive waiting you have been doing with active expectation.

On the practical side, honestly assess whether you have been waiting for God to do for you what He designed to do through you. Where has He anointed your abilities, your ideas, or your skills? What is He asking you to activate? Write it down. Then take one step toward it this week.
