That Feeling Isn't a Problem. It's a Pointer.
The Word at the Table
Welcome to The Champion's Table. I'm Neal Reyes, The Entrepreneurs' Pastor, and I'm glad you're here. Every week, I'm going to sit down with you right here in your inbox and give you something real. Something that challenges how you think, strengthens how you lead, and fuels the faith that drives everything you do. Welcome to the table. Let's get into it.
This Week's Word: That Feeling Isn't a Problem. It's a Pointer.
I want to talk to you about something you've probably been feeling but haven't quite been able to name.
There's a tension inside you. A quiet pull that keeps showing up even when you try to push past it. On the outside, everything looks fine. You're producing. You're showing up. You're handling your responsibilities and checking things off the list. But internally, something isn't settled, and no matter how busy you stay, that feeling doesn't go away.
Most people do everything they can to silence it. They call it stress. They call it burnout. They label it distraction and keep moving. I get it, because I've done the same thing. But here's what I've learned, and what I want you to sit with today: what you've been trying to silence may be the very thing God is using to get your attention.
There's a real difference between being overwhelmed and being called higher. Overwhelm drains you and pulls you down. But being called higher stretches you, and that stretch has a direction. It's pointing somewhere. And if you're not careful, you'll spend years trying to manage something that was never meant to be managed. It was meant to be followed.
Clarity doesn't always show up the way we expect it to. It rarely arrives with a full plan, perfect timing, and every answer already in place. More often, it shows up as a nudge. A disruption. A discomfort that refuses to leave you alone. I've learned to pay attention to that. Not to react emotionally, and not to dismiss it either, but to actually stop and ask, Lord, what are you saying to me right now? Because I've found that many times, the very thing creating the most friction internally is the thing pointing me directly toward my next level.
The Holy Spirit doesn't always speak through a booming thunderclap. Sometimes He just won't let something go. And here's the truth that has moved me more than once in my life: clarity doesn't always come before you move. Sometimes it only comes when you trust and obey.
If you've been feeling that pull, don't keep trying to push it down. Lean into it. Ask the question. Take it to God. The answer you find may be the most important thing you engage with this season.
Take This With You
This week, I want you to stop trying to silence the tension. Instead, lean into it and have an honest conversation with yourself about it. Don't be afraid, and don't be scared. If God placed it there, then He's waiting for you with the answers you need. You've got this! Write down your honest answer to this question: What have I been feeling pulled toward that I've been avoiding because it feels uncomfortable or unclear? Don't overthink it. Just write what comes up. That answer is worth more than you know. Clarity always comes through movement. The more momentum you build, the more clarity you'll receive.
From the Table Last Week
On Champion's Walk, I dropped Part 3 of our Stepping Into Your Calling series: Stop Waiting on God to Do What He's Asked You to Do. I went straight at the hesitation, the doubt, the imposter syndrome, and the "I'm not ready yet" story that keeps called people stuck on the sidelines. If you know you're called but you've been waiting for the perfect moment to move, this one is for you. Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5P5dpL-Fk4&list=PLMPDSgKkGZNvHLzeBuhqHvZhuCSMEQEgV
On The Executive Perspective, I brought you Legos on the Floor: Clear the Mental Blocks Holding You Back. I broke down the invisible obstacles that quietly trip up high performers, from low energy and perfectionism to approval addiction and emotional compromise under pressure. Practical, honest, and built for the person who knows they're capable of more. Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6Ky2AfLHrk&list=PLMPDSgKkGZNuJ-dNFVFCWc3lb7BmJ07mM
Until Next Time
Champions don't wait for perfect conditions. They move with what they have, where they are, because faith has never required certainty. It has only ever required obedience. Take that into your week.
This Wednesday on Champion's Walk, we're going deeper into the Stepping Into Your Calling series with Part 4. If last week challenged your excuses, this week is going to challenge your next step. Don't miss it.
Then Saturday on The Executive Perspective, I'm sharing something I've taught my teams for years and have never unpacked publicly like this. I call it the Pantry Principle, and it's about how to reach for top-shelf goals in your life and your leadership. You're going to want to be there for that one.
I'll see you at the table next Tuesday.
